Donos (Teoja: archaic, "kingdom") is a Kutai tribal kingdom located on the main shores of the Sahi Coast in the western Kira Jungle. It was the second Kutai state to form, after Kados, in the early Growth Era. Unlike its neighbors, Donos was built on the idea of tribal unification into a singular mega-tribe under absolute rule by a Dona, or king. Early efforts toward this goal rendered the original many tribes of the Sahi Coast forgotten, with all of them eventually becoming incorporated into a singular, homogeneous Sahi culture.
Donos' strong cultural and political presence in the Kira region has left them as one of the most powerful states in the area. Control of trade in the Gadh Sea, as well as relative openness to trade with Thyros and other world powers, has also made Donos one of the richest states in the region.
The nation's vast and complex coastal cities and idyllic tropical beaches have given Donos a reputation as one of the most "civilized" Kutai tribes. Despite this, they still contribute to joint acts of genocide against the Yakira alongside their eastern neighbors, although less openly, to avoid conflict with foreign trade interests.
