Aranese (natively, Aronnege) is a Denotic language in the Aranic subfamily. Native originally to the Arano of Hithfaerthel, modern Aranese is found across the Isles of Triamar, along the mainland shores of Skagø, throughout the southern Dún, and among the greater Arano diaspora, especially in the Himara Peninsula.

Although it has changed with time, Aranese is considered the oldest language in the Denotic family, and debatably the oldest language of Men known. All languages within the Denotic family are derived from Aranese, which itself is derived from its very-similar proto-language, Fíunnese.
