9 . What Your Parents Teach You About Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades can be used to increase the stats of a particular item. Depending on the upgrade type it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the following one by a set amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's stats base increase when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of all of an item's upgraded perks (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrading items can be expensive, depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to make. This is due to the variety of perks that have to be changed in order to upgrade an item.
It can also be used as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios. It also serves as a gating requirement while queueing for dungeons, raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is limited to an lower level). The average level of the item can be found on the character sheet.
When deciding whether to purchase or sell gear players can evaluate the level of an item. It's an indicator of the item's damage and quality. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller can be done by using the level of the item.
On PC, you can check the level of the item using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will display the full item description, including its level. It is also accessible by hovering over an item using the mouse cursor and typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are several theories about how the level of an item upgrader mod is determined. One theory states that the item level is calculated using a formula that calculates the value of the stats of an item really are. It is based on the fact that different advantages are valued differently and that gems in the sockets increase the item's value. This process could result in a calculated value for the item's level, which is usually quite close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
However, this isn't the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, since the size of the area the item dropped in can alter the value of its stats, such as by adding a level to its crit rating or haste rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have higher ilvl.
Item Stats
The item's stats can determine the fate of an item for players. The game uses a lot of them in different ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and to prevent one weapon from being "the Best item upgrade." The stats of a base weapon are boosted by the weapon's stat modification, which are themselves increased by the player's skill.
The upgrades to items add by increasing certain stats on the item. The costs for upgrades are determined by the rarity of the item. A grey or white item for instance, can only be upgraded once and items with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at higher costs.
Another way to change the stats on an item is by affixing it. These are special stat boosts that can be added to an item by the player, and are available in all sizes and shapes. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving dead or cutting down the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.
Presently, all affixes are able to be changed by selecting them from the upgrade window and pressing the green button with circles arrows. This will cost a certain amount of gold and other items. These can be used as upgrade gauges similar to other rerolling methods.
Players can upgrade an item by a specific stat or reroll the affixes. The stat ranges are determined by the item's level. However, all items will include at least one stat within that range unless they are an item that is unique or an item that has a God Roll from a raid boss.
Another thing that could change is the option to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the affixes, or choose which stats to enhance. As with base equipment, it will have to be done per item, and the interface for item comparison wouldn't display all possible stats at once.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player boosts the chance of finding items as well as the properties created by loot and the intensity of these properties. However, it does not directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives players a chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the early game as opposed to later ones, since most players prefer more powerful weapon scaling and defenses over the raw damage gain.
Luck can also boost the likelihood of upgrading items at the Blacksmith. This is not to be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability which increases with each level of the item and can be further increased by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields and weapons can be created or spawned with the Luck property, with the default value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) for a further +40 luck or to increase the luck of the item to 140.
Moreover, certain items, like the Hollow weapon, which is infused with Hollow can be used to increase the damage of any damage-dealing skill by five percent. These items can be found in the shop or crafted by using the appropriate ingredients.
Item Failure
Upgrades to items can be expensive and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chances of success or even prevent them from losing an item upgrade if the upgrade fails.
When you upgrade an item, the success rate is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the chance of completing the upgrade successfully and it can be increased by adding Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased as much, and the chance that an upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..
The success of an can be affected by the Luck of that item. All items have an average success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.
It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects may be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the item upgrader (visit the next page) CORE client config.
