Are Item Upgrade Really As Vital As Everyone Says
Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
Upgrading gear increases its stats base and often boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations are applied.
The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption capabilities in PvP or provide additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more marketable than the perfect non-upgraded version.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens are a way to reroll a purchased item like a weapon, armor or rings. The item is replaced with an identical item and comes with different bonuses. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. However, they don't retain the level of the original item, and any wasted resources aren't refunded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens via a variety of methods such as the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. You can also find them in chests and crates or purchase them from the store for $150 each. Reroll tokens are used to alter the attributes of a piece equipment for example, increasing the damage it can cause.
Players can roll equipment with three aspects: physical power, spell power and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage that weapons and melee attacks and spell power upgrades rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health.
Three types of reroll tokens are available: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To produce them, you'll need a higher-quality reroll token. Upgrades require a regular item. Rare upgrades require an item that is either exclusive or legendary. Legendary upgrades require three legendary pieces.
The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action areas, remains on the space till the next success is to be rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints appear in the form of envelopes at the beginning of each Preparation Stage, and can be opened by grabbing them with Interact. When they are opened, they show a description and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop can swap blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for an amount of money.
During the course of a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool as a result of the choice of Franchise Cards. This changes the blueprints that the restaurant's shop can offer for rerolls and those that are in the non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
In Throne and Liberty, growth stones can be used to improve armor, weapons and other items. These are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats and attributes. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. Contract Coin Merchants will sell them for a fee. Moreover, players can obtain these stones by signing daily contracts.
To upgrade gear players first need to identify the appropriate item, and then click the "level up" button. This will display a list of the item's level, and what it will become when it is upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the item. The amount of Growth Stones required to upgrade the gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue) rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.
After deciding what to upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can click the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. The item will be raised in level by a specific percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not impact the durability of the item. It's a great way for players who wish to get an edge in battle, but don't want to spend a lot of money. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto an entirely new piece of equipment.
For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to get the stones. You can sign contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or collect them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. Players can also break down the higher-level Growth Stones into multiple lower-level stones.
Leveling
Leveling is an option that allows you to increase the effectiveness of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets and helms. It's done by adding upgrades at the Upgrade Station and paying a cost of Happy Stars or Happy Tickets. The process will consume the upgrade materials and give the item an increased level, which gives the item a boost in that particular area. This process can be repeated until the highest level of an item is attained.
Items that have upgraded stats will display an icon of blue next to their slot. Unlike enchantments, however, upgrade components do not stack against each other, and can only be added to a single item at a time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a particular quantity of items to be used in addition to an initial level for the equipment.
The Upgrade Station is divided into two slots. On the left, players can add an item to be upgraded. On the right, an image of the equipment will look like when it reaches its next level. Once the player has enough items, pressing the yellow arrow will start the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Each time the Best item upgrader is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small percentage. The maximum level of an item is 19.
When an item reaches its maximum capacity that it can no longer have the option of upgrading. Once a piece of equipment is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Veteran or Explorer) upgrades for that track will have discounts.
Upgrade components are a kind of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets to give an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, however doing so could destroy the previous upgrade, except for glyphs which can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Item upgrades give players the ability to increase certain stats on weapons and armor they currently have equipped. The requirements to upgrade an item upgrader mod vary depending on its type however, you'll usually require Dilithium and a number Upgrade Tokens.
The items can be upgraded by adding item upgrade components to weapons and equipment. This gives them more effects or an improved quality of the item. These upgrades can be gotten from various sources in the game, such as crafting, bought at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or retrieved from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been added to an object it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components come with additional modifiers that could further increase the stats of an item.
For example, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The dps "Wildfire", however, increases weapon damage.
Some items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more because it allows players to gain the most value from a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly coveted by melee PvP communities and could be worth up to 20-50 times that of the unupp'd version.
The game will display the requirements when you select the upgrade component that goes into the item. The game will display the required requirements when you select an upgrade component to slot into an Best item upgrade.
The game will put an item in your inventory after you have completed the prerequisites for an upgrade. The progress bar will then change to show you how far you are to finishing the upgrade. You can also check the status of an upgrade by visiting any upgrader NPC for the item you want to upgrade.
