Kmur

From WFU Wiki

A type of liquid produced by the Mhenuur from blood extracted from Gorm-ba, being manipulated into numerous products, mostly for food.

Manufacture

Kmur is made from the process of bleeding Gorm-ba on a special diet of mostly Wordra and letting the resulting liquid settle in the open sun for a full day. This proofing yields are thick, teal-colored milk-substance of horrid taste and may cause extreme instances of nausea, vertigo, and fevers. From this stage it is sent to be prepped for one of the following: consumption, use as a machine-grade lubricant overseas, or as a pesticide.

Gorm-ba bred for producing Kmur are extremely docile and slow to move, being incapable of using for transportation, the Wordra they consume slows their metabolism and dull their senses. The entire process of bleeding can take days due to the Gorm-ba's thick carapace and requires a tap to keep the blood from clotting as it slowly seeps out.

Use

Kmur sent out as a food product is boiled down and on to the next stage to become of two products. Kma'rok is Kmur thinned with sugar water and used as a drink for only special occasions such as religous holidays; it is described as having a thick eggy flavor. Kwa'ma is a cheese-like product made by seasoning Kmur with powdered Hvur'cith and set out in the sun to dry out over the course of a month; it is mildly spicy and sour.
