Upgrade components

Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to give an additional benefit or bonus while the equipment is being utilized. They can be purchased from players or vendors, scavenged or gotten as rewards, or created using crafting materials. Upgrade items can be cosmetic effects, in addition to offering bonus points for attributes.

Upgrade components include inscriptions, enhancements and infusions. They aren't generally available for general use, and are only available to ascended equipment or some non-ascended weapons from the Factions campaign. You can recover infusions, inscriptions and enrichments from equipment using an Infusion Extractor Device, or by salvaging with the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or Ascended Salvage tool.

Phoenix Boxes unlike other upgrade products are able to be traded and re-used while still attached to an item they are upgrading. These upgrade items can be used to improve the quality of armor and weapons without the expense of Dilithium. They can increase the likelihood that an item will be upgraded to a top quality upgrade.

Upgrade components can be added to an item, but the previous one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Only upgraded items that have an identification level of 0 or higher can be upgraded with upgrade components incorporated into them. If you add an upgrade to an existing weapon that already has an upgrade suffix or prefix, the item upgrader mod will be named as it would appear on the game screen (for instance, adding an Radiant insignia to Canthan Armor creates Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). A player can own up to three upgrade items at any one time.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be a great addition to any product. They offer unique advantages and boosts. Some glyphs can also increase the number of affixes attached to an item, increasing its overall strength. These glyphs are available through the dungeons and some even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can only be used by players who have created a dungeon that has the same level of depth.

In order to use a Glyph first, you need to build it from components and connect them with anchors. The component will then automatically align to other components or paths in the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph with components, you can use a combination of anchors and paths. Drag an element near an element highlighted to hold it in place.

Some glyphs have conditions to fulfill, for example having 25 Dexterity or more in a particular area on the Paragon Board. Some require a specific number of Primary Stat nodes to activate and can be a challenge to achieve. Some glyphs have a radius that grows with each level.

Glyphs are used for various items and can be added to all weapons, with the exception for weapons belonging to specific classes. Some of these glyphs have additional requirements, like the requirement for a certain amount of Dexterity damage, or Attack damage on a specific area of the Paragon board.

The Defend Glyph gives you the chance to deflect attacks from enemies. It also has a 15% chance to make the Hero vulnerable for two turns.

Certain glyphs can also be applied to restricted tools, such as the Black Lion Chest and Trading Post. The addition of these glyphs will contribute to the Combat Mechanic achievement.

The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which boost the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. They are especially beneficial for ranged classes like Warriors and Rogues. The Exploit Glyph renders enemies who attack the Hero vulnerable to damage.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are tokens that can be used to roll back one of the results when taking an Action. They are removed when the reroll occurs. Reroll tokens can be obtained in a variety of ways, such as through raids and dungeons, or by participating in skirmishes. You can also purchase them in the shops or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons and trials because they let players reroll the rewards from the chest at the end.

The values for recycling points are provided for items that are at level 1. When recycle an item, it will add a specific number of points to the upgrade gauge. This number is determined by the rarity of the item and its level. The upgraded item upgrades also will not retain its level if it is rerolled, and the cost to recycle an upgraded item increases as its level rises.

Another option is to make use of reroll tokens to reroll an upgrade item however, this won't bring the item back to its original state or provide its original extra statistics. This is a great option for players who want to reroll an item they aren't happy with but still would like to keep it in their collection.

There are three kinds of upgrade tokens in the game: reroll random, and upgrade. Each type comes with its own subtypes. Reroll tokens for instance, come in three categories that are rare, legendary and enhanced. Each level requires an item from the respective level to create the new item upgrades of that level.

To use rerolling tokens choose "Reroll Token" by right-clicking the Satanic or Angelic items in your inventory. Select the type of token. The tokens available include Item Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The use of an Item token will produce a new item upgrader kit (click here to read) of any type. A Weapon or Misc token will create a brand new weapon belonging to the same faction.

There is also a chance that the item will be upgraded into a new item with an increased level and the same extra stats. This is likely to occur if the item been placed in the Non-Droppable Pool or was transferred there as part of a franchise card.
