Andain is the god of protection, judgment, and war. He is noted as the guardian of Cadin in many faiths, as well as the universal judge above all judges. Andain originated from what is described as "remaking himself in this universe", after Celarus spoke his name.
During the creation of the universe, Andain took up guardianship of Cadin after Celarus threw it into the Star-Blood to create space. Later, he judged Kutaru guilty of betraying his brother Kutsal, and Andain rent Kutaru in pieces, scattering his soul primarily within the darkness of Gryka. Some of these soul fragments impacted Kyros, and became the Earth-Gods. Later on, Andain constructed the Palisade to protect Kyros from the blinding light of Arkai.
Andain appeared to enact judgment on Taekyr, scolding Lurhasil for attempting to enact his own judgment. Taekyr was cleaved in half by Andain, and then chained to the sun. His sentence was to pull the sun around the sky forever. Many religions revere Andain as the creator of the moons for this event.
