Eýn Mountains
The Eýn Mountains (Thyridic: "East"), or Velamyk (Lyrian: "Great Western Veil"), are an extremely long, tall mountain range extending from the northwestern edge of Celadon to the southern beaches of Uiscirn. They form the easternmost border of the Thyrosic Empire, divided down its center with the neighboring Aednun.
Etymology
The name of the Eýn Mountains is one of a particularly simple origin, coming directly from Thyros' native Thyrids' word for "East", Eýn. However, its roots extend further, into some lost proto-forms of the Thyridic language, as well as its cognate, the Tallinore word iën.
Other cultures possess names for the range as well, especially given its reputation for being the longest mountain range on Atheryin, and perhaps all of Kyros. The Vailic language denominates the mountains as Þenweim, with an uncertain translation. Leoth cultures, while some still refer to the mountains by their Lyrian name, will term the mountains as the Dael Λᴛíↄεᴀ tr. Atícen, "Elf Mount".
