Mún

From WFU Wiki

Mún is a large city in the west of The Mún. It is the second largest city in the Thyrosic Empire, and the richest. Mún is unique amongst Thyridic cities, as its culture a mixture of Imperial Thyridic and Dunaan culture, owing to the cities status as a Dunaan village in its early years.

Mún is built on the shores of the Éwýresol, a large bay which is shared between the Mún, Túnsen and Hýrisin.  It is surrounded on either side by wild fields and farmland, as farmers are few and far between in The Mún.

Layout

Mún is a vast urban sprawl, compared to other cities of a similar size in Thyros. In the west, the vast docks are like a city unto themselves, with their own guard authority, housing laws, and even governance. Though the crime rates in the docks are vastly beyond that of the main city, the streets are for the most part, safe. The back-alleys are another story, with a thriving trade in illegal goods.

Departing from the docks is the Tradesman's walk, a large bridge connecting the docks to the rest of the city, for the bay separates them.

On the other side of the bridge sits the vast Plaza of Love, an ornate square filled with traders, showcasing the best Mún has to offer to visitors. Around the plaza sits the Palace of the Pýrnóc, a large building rivalling even the Assembly House in Thyrra in terms of grandeur. Following this to the west and north are the residences of many of the rich Dunaan merchant lords of the city. To the east sit the shops and homes of the poorer section of Mún's society.

In the east of the city, following housing and commercial districts, sits Liam's Keep, a fortress named after the founder of Mún, Liam Múnnin. The walls of the keep are said to be unbreakable, but in reality it has never been besieged.
