Fyukeo is a Kutai tribal kingdom located primarily in The Fen, with coastal holdings on the southwestern shores of the Kira Jungle. Its capital Jeo Fyu lies entirely in the connected canopies of colossal Seris trees, in a region of the Fen that is entirely flooded for three seasons out of the year. Much of the Kutai of Fyukeo live either in the trees or amphibiously in the floodwaters. The area is notoriously difficult to traverse, even for more northern Kutai.
Fyukeo has existed with different borders throughout history, but always consists of the Fyuteo Kutai of the deep Fen region. The coastal Kanjae tribe frequently comes under Fyukeo's rule, either by subjugation or willful annexation, as Kutai of the Fen typically believe all coasts surrounding the Fen belong to them. To this end, some Fyukeo citizens even believe that all the waters of the Kira River are their property. This has fostered a bitter rivalry with Kados in the north (who controls some of the Kira's headwaters), effectively turning the jungles of Moaku between them into a near-perpetual warzone.
Unlike many other Kutai states, Fyukeo is ruled absolutely by a Dona, or king. Per tradition, the Dona of Fyukeo is selected from Fen-region priests with the closest connections to the area's many Anamneses. The Dona is considered a messianic demigod figure, often wielding great and terrible prophetic power from their interactions with the Anamneses.
