Jalqunia
Jalqunia, known in Thyridic as Chailcúna, is a gigantic western continent in Kyros, it is a warm land, filled with savannah and deserts, great forests and even greater lakes, Jalqunia is possibly the largest landmass on Kyros, with what little of it has been explored being known to be at least twice the size of Atheryin. Jalqunia was long unknown, but the arrival in Atheryin of the Jarvah in the late Brave Era prompted speculation over the origin of the red men. Several colonies exist on Jalqunia, belonging to the great powers of Atheryin, like Nokana or Thyros.
Landscape
Jalqunia is the largest of the three traditionally accepted continents of Kyros. Like Atheryin, and unlike Norvakia, Jalqunia has a varied climate. In the south east, an an area known as the The Djaghad, an area the size of Atheryin, there is nothing but Savannah. Further west there in impenetrable forest, and further west still, no one knows.
To the north lay forests and mountains, and the great Lake Saltar, a vast freshwater lake larger than Thyros, it is inhabited by Saltar, a true Sea-Dragon, the last of his kind.
Civilization
Jalqunia is inhabited by colonists from the great powers of Atheryin. The largest colony is Mún Ýris, founded by the Thyrosic Empire in Lords Era 240, which sits on the shores of Lake Saltar. The colony is not the first Thyridic venture into Jalqunia, Upon discovering the land in Lords 170, The Thyrids attempted to establish a colony in Karoph Bay, but the expensive of the endeavour bankrupt the war-torn Empire, and the colonists fled to live with the Jalqunians.
Further south, along the waters of Karoph Bay lies Felkun, Nokana's colony in Jalqunia.
The city states of the Dún have established trading outposts in the much contested Karoph Bay, too. The outposts are numerous and nameless, but control trade in the region.
Usareik has stayed away from the Karoph Bay almost entirely, and has established no colonies save for the small port of New Solis in the Djaghad, which serves as a stopping point for their pirates and slavers. The Jarvah have brought great amounts of native Jalqunians into Kvurian Isles as slaves, so much so that some tribes have been completely eradicated.
